Shopping for Health 2011 Conference, Napa

Napa Valley, CA

St. Helena, California, the heart of the beautiful Napa Valley, was the site of Shopping for Health 2011, held on March 26 and March 27. Supermarket dietitians representing more than 2,500 grocery stores in 28 states and the District of Columbia attended the meeting, and enjoyed outstanding meals and presentations.

The meeting offered supermarket RDs an opportunity to network, both with colleagues from other grocery chains and representatives from major food companies, and to receive nutrition updates about food products that they sell to consumers. New data and research on consumer shopping trends and round table discussions also provided a valuable information exchange. In addition, the supermarket RDs enjoyed meals from top Napa chefs and a delicious food and wine pairing session at a local winery.

“Everything presented at the conference was helpful. I especially liked the group break-out where we sat round-table with a sponsor to discuss ideas for marketing their product.”
